The first 20th century will be moving into Blanchard on Fri.
The Blanchard Steam as well as Gas Engine Show will require place at Millpond Recreation area in Blanchard from Comes to an end until Sunday, starting in 9 a. m. Thursday.
In addition to the engine exhibits, the actual show will feature tractor pulls, live music, the blacksmith demonstration and a open air market with 100 vendors along with other activities on the park’s 117 acres. BBQ chicken is going to be served Saturday.
The display is $5 for weekend break for attendees over thirteen. Attendees 12 and below are admitted free. Camping out is also available during the demonstrate at the cost of $5 any night.
A hospitality covering with beer will also be setup for the first time in the show’s historical past.
The event, now in its twenty ninth year, is organized through Blanchard Parks and Entertainment.
“It’s a lot of old-time melancolía, ” said Marilyn Delo, a parks and rec board member.
Delo stated about three to five vapor engines are featured every year.
