Worldwide powertrain innovator FPT Commercial has entered an agreement along with marine propulsion supplier Mercury Marine to make the FPT six. 7-litre mechanical fuel shot NEF engine available for sale within global markets.
Branded Mercury Diesel, the 6. 7-litre FPT engine is the ideal power solution for solitary application (22' to 30') sterndrive and inboard vessels such as passenger ferries, taxi cab boats and other government programs. It will also appeal to dual software such as boats with drinking water jet propulsion and shift trawlers (30'-50'). The dependability of the engine aligns using the durability and easy maintenance of both FPT Industrial and Mercury Marine diesel offerings.
"This agreement is a testimony in order to FPT Industrial's recognised technical leadership. It further underlines our commitment to the very challenging field of marine apps, " said Annalisa Stupenengo, Brand President FPT Professional. "We are confident which together we will leverage our own respective strengths in item and services to the advantage and satisfaction of our clients. "
A provider associated with recreational, commercial and federal government marine propulsion, Mercury Marine's vice president of global category administration, Martin Bass, said: "This partnership with FPT Business allows Mercury Marine to build up market awareness of the new product's value proposition in worldwide markets that we don't have the presence in yet. The actual Mercury Diesel midrange growth will support the needs of the predominantly commercial Asian marketplace. "
The 6. 7-litre midrange engine will be formally launched at the China Worldwide Boat Show in Shanghai in china on 7-10 April 2016 and will be available in the marketplace inside Q1 of 2016.
