Daimler to move medium-duty engine manufacturing to Detroit

Daimler Trucks announced this morning the plans to transition production of its new moderate duty engine lineup in order to its Detroit brand head office. The $375 million investment decision will create 158 jobs in the Redford, Michigan, facility that will begin production of the Detroit DD5 and DD8 method duty engines in 2018.
