On the buses for on-site power

UNITED KINGDOM transport company Stagecoach offers announced plans to install on-site solar on the roofs of the number bus depots.
With potential financial savings as high as £1. 1 million ($1. 7 million) and dealing with renewable energy company Visolaris as well as Renewable Energy Investment (REI), Stagecoach says that over the course of the actual 20-year project some three million kg of CARBON DIOXIDE is expected to be stored.
Solar panels have already been fitted in its Chesterfield depot and function is underway at the company’s Daw Bank bus lager in Stockport. Chesterfield features a 250 kWp installation of 962 solar panels, while in Stockport the 280 kWp system of 1076 solar panels will be installed.
Based on a statement, it is anticipated that this project will also be rolled out some other Stagecoach depots across the BRITISH.
Virtually all of the locally created electricity will be used by every site, any excess capacity is going to be sold to the grid through partners Visolaris and REI.
